The Ministry of Health announced that twelve individuals have been given the green light to leave quarantine after completing a preventative mandatory 14 day stay, having tested negative for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Ministry highlighted that the twelve individuals include ten Bahraini nationals returning from Iran, and one Bahraini and one Chinese national, both returning from China. The Ministry further highlighted that the individuals had been monitored closely by a highly specialised medical team for the duration of their quarantine.

The Ministry affirmed that the measures taken within all quarantine centres are in line with established guidelines set out by the World Health Organization (WHO), aimed at combating the spread of the virus and safeguarding the health of citizens and residents.

The Ministry reiterated the importance for all individuals returning from Iran to schedule their medical examinations by visiting www.moh.gov.bh/444 or by calling hotline no. 444, and to follow the instruction given by the medical team. Individuals are also reminded to avoid interacting with others, to avoid the spread of the virus to their families and to the community.

The Ministry noted that all citizens and residents who have tested negative for COVID-19, have been provided health and awareness guidelines and instructions to isolate themselves at their homes for 14 days, for which they will receive paid medical leave.
