
The Ministry of Health confirmed its 26th Covid-19 fatality. A 40-year-old male expatriate, a registered active case of coronavirus died suffering from underlying and chronic health problems.
The patient, along with all other active Covid-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.
The Ministry of Health expressed its heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family at this difficult time.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 412 patients recovered from coronavirus in the past day, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 9,468 so far.
Bahrain has detected 380 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, mostly in foreign workers and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 186 foreign workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 184 others were infected from local contacts while 10 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The latest update reveals (07 June, 11:30 pm) that there are currently 80 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 12 are in a critical condition. Over 5,257 cases are stable out of a total of 5,269 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 9468. Bahrain has so far conducted over 367056 tests.
