A 37-year-old man has died as the result of a two-car crash in Easton on Sunday afternoon, local police and the Bristol County District Attorney confirmed in press releases. The crash happened just before 2 p.m. Sunday near 539 Bay Rd. in the town.

Emergency response personnel arrived at the scene after reports of a head-on crash. One of the drivers died as a result of injuries sustained; that victim has been identified as Scott A. Lewis, 37, of South Easton.

The other driver, identified as a 25-year-old Easton man, was transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Mass. State Police is investigating the crash along with Easton Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. Bay Road remains closed at the intersection with Dean Street while the investigation continues.
