Over 9,945 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Monday (06 July) health officials confirmed.
The Ministry of Health detected 454 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 273 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 179 others were infected from local contacts while 2 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 529 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 25,178 so far.
The latest update (06 July) reveals that there are currently 54 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 39 are in a critical condition. Over 4,491 cases are stable out of a total of 4,545 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 25,178.
Bahrain has conducted over 6,12,096 tests. Bahrain recorded one fatality yesterday, a 92-year-old male citizen taking the toll to 98.
Meanwhile, President of the Supreme Council of Health and Head of the national medical team to confront coronavirus (COVID-19) Lt. General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said Bahrain is committed to continuing its great efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus by strengthening all precautionary and preventive measures taken to ensure everybody’s health and safety.
