Over 9,203 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Monday (13 July) health officials confirmed.

The Ministry of Health detected 535 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.

Health officials said that 297 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 238 others were infected from local contacts.

The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 674 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 29,099 so far.

The latest update (13 July) reveals that there are currently 72 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 50 are in a critical condition. Over 4,218 cases are stable out of a total of 4,268 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 29,099.

Bahrain has conducted over 6,66,248 tests. Bahrain reported one fatality, a 57-year-old female citizen taking the toll to 109.

Meanwhile, MOH also announced its WhatsApp auto-reply service (chatbox) where the service delivers up-to-date information to the population on the spread of Covid-19 and Team Bahrain’s response on the global pandemic-led by HRH the Crown Prince. The chat services are free to use and available around the clock.

As part of the precautionary and preventive measures, the Ministry of Health affirms all coming passengers must be tested at their own expense starting July 21, 2020.
