8 Expats Arrested For Trying To Smuggle 16 Gold Bars

The Director-General of Ports Security announced today that the Bahrain International Airport Police Directorate has arrested eight Asian expats of the age group 32-42 for attempting to traffic 16 gold bars worth around BD 43000.
While the directorate personnel were carrying their security inspection duties for departing travellers, the suspects were held for hiding the gold bars in their luggage. Legal proceedings were taken.
