For this year's Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, 36 cars will line up on the grid at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
A record-breaking 12 Hypercars will compete in the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2023, along with 11 contenders in Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) and another 13 contenders in Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance Am (LMGTE Am).
In Sakhir, the Spirit of Le Mans will make a massive presence as world-class competitors hit the tarmac.
Taking place behind closed doors, the WEC's first two 90-minute practice sessions begin on Thursday (2 November).
Fans can then see endurance motorsport's most legendary and technologically advanced hypercars and sports cars in action on Friday and Saturday at BIC.
The gates will be open on Friday from 11am to 6.30pm and on Saturday from 10.30am to 10.30pm.

In addition to all those who will attend and watch the event on television from around the world, this year's Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain will once again be a spectacular show. Under BIC's state-of-the-art floodlights, the race on Saturday will begin in the afternoon sun and end under the stars.
The WEC has become a landmark event in Bahrain after more than a decade of racing at BIC. With 36 cars on the grid, this is the largest WEC field since the format switched to eight hours in 2019.
The Hypercar category will be more competitive than ever this year.
A return to Bahrain for Toyota Gazoo Racing and Peugeot TotalEnergies, as well as Ferrari AF Corse, Porsche Penske Motorsport, Cadillac Racing, Floyd Vanwall Racing Team, Hertz Team JOTA, and Proton Competition, will take part in the Hypercar battles for the first time at BIC.
Porsche Penske Motorsport, Peugeot TotalEnergies, Ferrari AF Corse and Toyota Gazoo Racing will all compete with two hybrid cars. Proton Competition, Cadillac Racing, and Hertz Team JOTA will race single Hybrid challengers, while Floyd Vanwall Racing Team will race its Vanwall Vandervell 680.
Racing strategies will be plotted by a star-studded cast across the board. In the Hypercar category, they include former Formula 1 champions Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, Kamui Kobayashi, Paul di Resta, Jean-Eric Verge, and Antonio Giovinazzi; and in the LMP2 class, they include Robert Kubica and Daniil Kvyat.
Among the 11 Oreca 07-Gibsons in the LMP2 category, there will be plenty of heated racing. Team WRT, Vector Sport, JOTA, and Inter Europol Competition will each have one car, while United Autosports, Alpine Elf Team, Prema Racing, and Prema Racing will each have two cars.
LMGTE Am boasts the largest field of entries in the World Endurance Championship, bringing the most iconic sportscars to the track.
As part of the Iron Dames team, Sarah Bovy, Michelle Gatting, and Rahel Frey are sharing the duties in their Porsche 911 RSR-19.
Dempsey-Proton Racing, Project 1-AO and GR Racing are the other teams competing in Porsches.
Richard Mille AF Corse and Kessel Racing AF Corse are the AF Corse teams driving Ferrari 488 GTE EVO cars.
Aston Martin Vantage AMR challengers will be competing for ORT by TF, Northwest AMR, and D'Station Racing, while Chevrolet Corvette C8.R challengers will be competing for Corvette Racing.
Besides the WEC action, there will be top-class racing from Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, the region's leading one-make series.
Family entertainment will also be available off the track, as well as a WEC-exclusive Open Paddock experience, a unique experience that lets fans get right next to the teams' garages and see some of the sport's top drivers.
