On Thursday, Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara province experienced a seismic event with a magnitude of 6.4, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The Indonesian Geological Agency (BMKG) assessed the magnitude at 6.3 and confirmed the absence of a tsunami risk. The earthquake's epicenter was situated on land and reached a depth of 25 kilometers (approximately 15.5 miles). According to Reuters, the epicenter was located 15 kilometers from the provincial capital of East Nusa Tenggara, Kubang.
Although the earthquake was strongly felt in various cities within the province, there have been no immediate reports of damage.
