Bahraini media reported that a 36-year-old expat had been arrested in the country for allegedly stealing valuables from a car after making a hole in the roof.

Social media has gone crazy with videos that show the robber cutting through the roof of the vehicle before fleeing after stealing valuables and money. 

During his attempt to steal the car, the man damaged the car, according to police. More than BD1,000 had also been reported lost by the vehicle owner.

The incident occurred on May 23, 2022, according to the Capital Police Directorate. Police were able to identify and arrest the suspect using CCTV footage and evidence found at the crime scene. The suspect was arrested during an investigation of another crime he committed.
