At Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), held in support of this weekend's Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, Dutchman Robert De Haan won race two of the 2023/2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.
With a 1,262-second gap to pole-sitter Theo Oeverhaus from Germany, De Haan triumphed after starting second on the grid, taking the lead on lap five, and winning the race.
After crossing the finish line in first place on Friday, the Central Europe Racing driver was given a five-second time penalty for a false start, which dropped him to third for the weekend's first race. The victory was inherited by Oeverhaus, a competitor for DHL Team.
The third place finish was achieved by Oeverhaus' countryman Janne Stiak of JS Racing, who was 3.767s behind him on the overall and Pro class podiums.
Ahmad Al Shehab of Team Kuwait won the ProAm category after finishing fourth overall, followed by Canadian Bashar Mardini of Team BMR and Saudi Racing's Saud Al Saud.
Among the PCCME's Am competitors, Sebastian Gorga of R1SE Motorsport completed a double this weekend. Gorga was joined on the podium by Bahrain stars Shaikh Jaber bin Ali Al Khalifa and Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.
As part of the PCCME's sixth season, the second of six rounds will be held at BIC on 15 and 16 December. As the first events of 2024, round three will take place in Dubai on 20 and 21 January, followed by round four in Abu Dhabi on 27 and 28 January.
In support of Formula 1, the final two rounds will be held. There will be a penultimate event during the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix weekend on 29 February to 2 March next year. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will take place from 7 to 9 March as the season-finale.

World Endurance Championship (WEC) pit-lane walk and autograph session enjoyed by fans at Bahrain International Circuit's Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain this weekend.
During the race, race-goers had the opportunity to see the WEC teams and their cars up close and personal, as well as meet the championship's superstar drivers and have memorabilia signed.
Fans love BIC's pit walk and autograph session, which bring them closer to the heart of motorsport during major international events.
FIA WEC rookie test to be held at BIC on Sunday
In the aftermath of the season-ending Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, the official FIA WEC Rookie Test takes place at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) on Sunday (5 November).
This annual event features some of the sport's star drivers as well as other leading names and up-and-coming drivers.
18 cars will compete in Sunday's programme, which will feature two hours of running in the morning and three hours of racing in the afternoon. Tests will be conducted behind closed doors.
More than 30 drivers will take part in the sessions, each having varying times to test their respective cars, including nine Hypercars, five LMP2s, and four LMGTE Ams.
Seven-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi will be driving an LMP2 Oreca 07-Gibson with Team WRT during Sunday's FIA WEC Rookie Test.
The Formula 1 test and reserve drivers Stoffel Vandoorne and Pietro Fittipaldi, as well as Ben Barnicoat, a former driver of Bahraini-British team 2 Seas Motorsport, are other top names. All of them will test in WEC Hypercars.
