Upon returning to Bahrain today, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler.

In a meeting with UAE leaders, HM the King discussed Bahrain-UAE relations and ways to enhance them.

A discussion of global and regional developments was also held.

Saudi Arabia hosted the Riyadh Summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN), and HM King Hamad led the kingdom's delegation there.

HM the King also led Bahrain's delegation to the Cairo Summit for Peace, which discussed the latest developments and future of the Palestinian cause.

A visit to the United Kingdom, Italy, and the Vatican was also made by HM King Hamad.
