Bahrain will take on Saudi Arabia today in the international friendly handball championship, being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The friendly match is scheduled to kick-off at 06:00 PM at Prince Nayef Sports Arena in the region of Al Qatif.

The tournament is part of preparations for the 20th Asian Handball Championship which will start on January 18 in Dammam, in Eastern Saudi Arabia. The Asian championship is a qualifier for the 2023 World Men’s Handball Cup in Poland and Sweden.

Led by Iceland coach Aron Kristjánsson, the national squad lost its first friendly match in the tournament to Egypt by one goal only, while Saudi Arabia beat Morocco.
