The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its support for UN Security Council Resolution N’ 2720, authored by the UAE. The resolution calls for immediate, safe, and unimpeded humanitarian aid delivery to the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza. The UN Secretary-General is tasked with appointing a Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator to oversee and verify aid delivery. The resolution also emphasizes the importance of a sustainable cessation of hostilities, compliance with international humanitarian law, and rejects the forced displacement of civilians, including children. Bahrain commended the UAE's efforts in presenting and ensuring the adoption of the resolution, viewing it as a crucial step toward a lasting ceasefire, civilian protection, and secure conditions for addressing humanitarian needs. The Foreign Ministry stressed the UN Security Council's responsibility for the full implementation of Resolution N’ 2720.
