The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, highlighted the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Egypt.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi are committed to enhancing bilateral relations and cross-sector cooperation to the benefit of all.

At Gudaibiya Palace, HRH Prince Salman received yesterday the outgoing Ambassador of Egypt, HE Yasser Mohammed Shaban, to mark the end of his tenure.

A meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the Ambassador's efforts to advance the strategic partnership.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad wished Ambassador Shaban success in his future endeavors. There was discussion of regional and global developments as well as issues of common interest during the meeting.

Ambassador Shaban expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, noting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's commitment to strengthening Bahrain-Egypt relations. Bahrain should continue to progress and prosper, he said.
