The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by  the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), has participated in the Technical Committee of the Civil Service and Human Resources Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held via video conference.

The meeting highlighted the efforts and precautionary measures taken by GCC civil service departments to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The committee was informed about the results of the work of the negotiating team to unify the purchase of HR Systems permits at GCC countries.

In this regard, the panel reviewed the results of the first phase of negotiations with "Oracle" and "SAP", two globally leading information technology companies.

The negotiations aim to reach a unified GCC agreement with the two companies in order to purchase HR Systems and their related services at reasonable prices.

The virtual meeting also discussed the technical commitee’s draft strategic plan, as well as its operational plan for the coming years.
