Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command was visited by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

On arrival, HM the King was welcomed by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Thiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, and senior BDF staff.

A briefing on future plans to develop BDF units was presented to His Majesty.

HM the King expressed his appreciation and pride for the courage and sincerity displayed by all the members of the BDF in carrying out their national duties.

Bahrain's ongoing humanitarian assistance program for Palestinians in Gaza has been praised by King Hamad, who thanked all those who contributed to it.

In this difficult time, His Majesty expressed hope for peace and security in the region and worldwide, saying that the Kingdom stands by Palestine.
