Bahrain journalists Association head of members committee announces health insurance scheme for its members. The annual fee will be BD700 and will  cover up to 8000 dinars.

The coverage of chronic diseases that a member of society suffers previously from will be covered by a maximum amount of 3000 dinars per year per person.
When visiting a hospital, , the insured will pay the visit BD 4 per visit to outpatient clinics. Health insurance will include medical services from clinical, laboratory, and radiological examination, physical and specialist treatment, surgeries and childbirth.

Services include hospital admission, tests, diagnoses, treatments and surgical procedures in hospitals for non-emergency medical conditiond.Emergency treatment within Bahrain will be covered by health insurance 24 hours until the insured member has settled, while a special room will be allocated for the patient. The insurance will provide other optional benefits, such as dental and vision services coverage. The cost of dental coverage is 150 dinars annually, while the coverage of optics benefits from eyeglasses and eye examination reaches 50 dinars annually.
