Oman exported 230,292,300 barrels of oil as of September 2023. USD 79.9 per barrel was calculated as the average price of oil. According to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), exports accounted for 80.2% of total oil production, which was 287,037,500 barrels.
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that crude oil production fell by 3.3% to 223,555,200 barrels.
A total of 63,482,300 barrels of condensates were produced, an increase of 8.1%. At the end of September 2023, oil production averaged 1,051,400 barrels per day.
China imported 210,172,000 barrels of Oman's crude oil, followed by Japan with 7,384,500 barrels. Among exports to other countries, 2,851,600 barrels were exported to Korea, followed by 2,716,200 barrels to India, while 7,168,000 barrels were exported to other countries.
The total local production and imports of natural gas reached 40,589.9 million cubic meters at the end of September 2023, up 3.6% from 39,174.1 million cubic meters reported during the same period in 2022. A total of 23,777.0 million cubic meters of natural gas were used by industrial projects, making up 58.5% of the total.
Natural gas was used by oilfields in the amount of 10,089.0 million cubic meters, whereas natural gas was used by power generation plants in the amount of 6,526.8 million cubic meters. Natural gas was used by industrial estates in the amount of 197.1 million cubic meters.
Additionally, 32,442.5 million cubic meters of non-associated gas were produced including imports, whereas 8,147.4 million cubic meters of associated gas were produced.
