Leena Nandan, Secretary at the Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, met Mohammed bi Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, here on the sidelines of their participation in the Pre-Ministerial Conference (Pre-COP) of the 28th Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
In addition to lauding the deep-rooted good relations between Bahrain and India, the minister highlighted the two countries' distinguished cooperation in several fields, including the environment and climate change.
Cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, climate change, combating desertification and achieving sustainable development goals were discussed by the two sides.
In addition to reviewing Pre-COP 28, they stressed the importance of global cooperation ahead of COP 28, which will be hosted by the UAE.
Bin Daina commended the organising committee for its tremendous efforts in preparing for Pre-COP 28.
The distinguished relationship between Bahrain and her country, including the environment and climate, was praised by Leena Nandan.
In response to the issues raised during their meeting, she expressed gratitude and appreciation to the minister.
