The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting, headed by Chief of Strategic Affairs Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal, with the CEO of HSBC, Chris Russell, in the presence of the Head of Corporate Banking for HSBC, Joseph Gharib, and the Chief Investment Officer at the Economic Development Board, Mahmoud Al-Aradi, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the financial and banking sector.
This meeting comes under the guidance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, with the aim of strengthening the cooperation between the Ministry and the Economic Development Board, as it is the first platform in the Kingdom specialized in attracting global investment, in order to raise the economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its ability to develop partnerships between public and private sectors.
This meeting reinforces the pivotal role of the Kingdom in the financial and banking sector at the regional and global levels. In addition, the national economy and all that it seeks to develop is one of the most important pillars of the government's action plan, which is in the Kingdom’s vision of 2030.
Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal stressed that the economy is a high priority for the Kingdom and that strategic cooperation with stakeholders in this field would contribute effectively to emphasizing the strong relationship of the Kingdom with various international banks and financial institutions, noting the prominent role played by the Economic Development Board in attracting investments, stressing the support of the Ministry for all the Council's efforts in this regard.
