
Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani said the ministry is constantly striving to enhance the sustainability of the commercial and industrial sectors and the growth of their contributions to the local to help advance economic development in Bahrain under the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al Zayani noted that the repercussions of the cronavirus (Covid-19) have pushed everyone to prepare to deal with the next stage and its challenges by intensifying cooperation to find innovative solutions with the concerned parties through various initiatives and programs that can contribute to the development of economic sectors

He stressed the importance of supporting the economic sectors as they are the most affected by the pandemic, to achieve the set and shared goals, protect the achievements made by Bahrain and draw a promising future that stands on a solid foundation.
The government has taken numerous steps aimed at reducing operational expenses and raising its efficiency, which calls on everyone to cooperate through this difficult stage in order to further develop the country and protect the interests of citizens, he added.
Al Zayani indicated that the ministry has implemented several measures under the directives HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the follow-up of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to mitigate the financial and economic effects of the coronavirus.
The 4.3 billion dinars economic stimulus to support the country’s citizens and private sector has contributed to countering the effects of the pandemic on the national economy.
Al Zayani noted that the ministry continues to work alongside the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in order to benefit the employers and serve citizens, praising the constructive cooperation between the ministry and the chamber.
