Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, held a meeting with Shaikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, on the sidelines of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, discussions centered on ways to enhance cooperation in the environmental and climate sectors.
Shaikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser visited Bahrain’s pavilion in the accompanying exhibition of COP28 and received a briefing on Bahrain's initiatives, strategic plans, national projects, and international efforts in environmental protection, sustainable development, and climate security.
Expressing eagerness to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, Shaikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser commended the exhibition's initiatives in addressing environmental challenges and the impacts of climate change. He also acknowledged the plans, strategies, and projects showcased to preserve and sustain the environment.
Shaikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser wished Bahrain continued success and prosperity.
