Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met here today member of the Council of Representatives, Ammar Hussain Al-Abbas, and discussed with him ways to enhance Executive-Legislature cooperation to achieve common interests that meet the citizens’ interests.
Humaidan affirmed the continuity of the Labour Ministry’s efforts to develop services delivered to the citizens, particularly the provision of job opportunities for them and ensuring their professional stability under various circumstances.
He also said that the Ministry will carry on its policy to provide social protection, support Bahraini families and empower them economically in order to improve their living standards, stressing the importance of the fruitful cooperation with the Council of Representatives to enact the necessary laws that would achieve the national strategic goals in the fields of work and social care.
MP Al Abbas commended the Labour Ministry’s efforts to achieve the development goals, affirming his support for all programmes and projects aimed at delivering distinguished services to the citizens.
He also lauded the measures taken by the Labour Ministry during the exceptional circumstances resulting from the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, calling for more cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches in order to overcome the current phase and continue the comprehensive development process in the kingdom.
