His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa left Egypt today following the Cairo Peace Summit where he led the kingdom's delegation in discussions on the Palestinian cause and its future, along with the peace process.

The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, received a cable of thanks from HM King Hamad.

As a reflection of the depth of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations at all levels and in all fields, HM the King expressed sincere gratitude to President El Sisi for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them.

Egyptian President El Sisi is keen on mobilizing regional and global political and diplomatic efforts to contain escalation and mitigate the repercussions of the current Gaza crisis, which HM King Hamad praised by hosting the Cairo Peace Summit.

HM the King asserted that the international summit provided a platform to call for the continuation of the peace in the Middle East in a manner that contributes to resolving the Palestinian cause comprehensively and justly. It would also be beneficial to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people, maintain regional security, stability, and prosperity, end wars and conflicts, and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The King wished President El Sisi good health, happiness, and long life, as well as continued security, growth, and prosperity for Egypt.
