
A number of private healthcare groups in Bahrain are reaching out to the public with numerous kits containing basic grocery items. These kits are being distributed to families who have been affected financially by the economic slowdown owing to the novel pandemic.
Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre distributed food kits as part of efforts to help the distributed workers affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The food kit, which includes basic amenities were distributed to various associations in the kingdom of Bahrain to handover to the needy people.
Al Hilal Healthcare Group launched ‘Al Hilal Cares’ which intends to support people in need across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Al-Hilal Cares is to become a helping hand for the destitute people in the community. The initiative is not limited to any particular community or nationality. These kits are being distributed to all kind of groups and communities based on their needs.
Meanwhile, hospitals are currently utilizing remote services to connect with the community to provide outpatient consultation amidst the prevailing situation in Bahrain. The free service can be availed by booking an appointment through the Hospital’s website. Hospitals across Bahrain are quickly expanding to adopt these new remote services.
The World Health Organization—which designated COVID-19 a global public health emergency in January—said healthcare organizations should consider using telemedicine. While the technology has been around for years, now many health care providers are looking for better ways to use the tech to its full potential.
