Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, held today a remote meeting with the Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in the Middle East, Sir Tom Beckett, with the participation of Undersecretary of International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the active role of IISS in following up on issues related to security and stability in the region, and the dedicated attention it gives to organising conferences and specialised forums. He also lauded the institute’s role in conducting researches and valuable studies on key regional and international issues, stressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ keenness on boosting cooperation with IISS in order to achieve set up goals.

For his part, Sir Tom Beckett expressed pride in the level of cooperation between the institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain more progress and prosperity.
