The Northern Municipality has launched an initiative to remove large-sized furniture, appliances and equipment free-of-charge. This was announced by the municipality through its official social media accounts. 

The municipality stated that the initiative, which is being carried out in cooperation with the Municipal Council and one of the cleaning companies, it has allocated a hotline number (80070000) through which it receive requests for free removal to determine the place and the best time. 

The municipality noted that the initiative aimed was to enhance environmental awareness among all. It added  that the initiative came as a continuation of its national awareness campaign launched during the holy month of Ramadan (The northern, beautiful and clean). 

It is noteworthy that the Northern Municipality has just launched an initiative to collect monthly garbage bags by a drive-thru service in its branch in Hamad Town as part of its efforts to facilitate services to all.
