Zayed Rashid Alzayani, Chairman of Gulf Air Group, was presented with the "Five Star Major Airline" award bestowed upon Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) during the Dubai Airshow 2023 held from November 13-17.

This significant achievement serves as a testament to Gulf Air's continuous enhancements to its products and services, solidifying its standing as one of the world’s premier airlines.

Expressing his honor, the chairman highlighted that Gulf Air is one of 35 global airlines to receive this prestigious award for the second time, standing out among more than 600 airlines worldwide.

"I extend my gratitude to all of Gulf Air’s dedicated workforce for their hard work in achieving this recognition once again. We reaffirm our commitment to delivering the highest quality and exceptional services to our passengers on every flight," he added.

The APEX Official Airline Ratings are established using neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights. With nearly one million flights rated by passengers worldwide on a five-star scale, airlines are categorized into four groups by the APEX Official Airline Ratings, and their assessments are independently certified by a professional external auditing company
