
Abdullah Al-Mirbati, spokesperson of Gyms Association and Fitness Clubs said that the owners of Gyms in Bahrain will not deduct the period of closing from memberships of members, despite the difficult situation the business is facing.
Al-Mirbati indicated that, once members resume training, once the decision issued to reopen Gyms and Fitness Centers, the period in which the activity was suspended due to (COVID_19) will be retrospectively calculated in their memberships.
Al-Mirbati explained that the owners had already took the required health precautionary measures, including social distancing and required hygiene, and that they are more ready to take additional measures if the decision made to reopen them.
He pointed out that among the additional measures that can be taken for social distancing is setting up barriers between games and organizing the attendance of trainees in the fitness centers.
