In accordance with the Health Ministry's criteria, the Detention Centre of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation has been certified as a Health Promoting Workplace.

Dr Wafa Al Sharbati, Director of Health Consolidation at the Health Ministry, presented the certificate to Brigadier Abdulsalam Al Oraifi, Director-General of Reformation and Rehabilitation.

Having formed a team to meet all the requirements, including training affiliates, the Director-General asserted the directorate had passed the certificate criteria.

He pointed out that the directorate sought to implement the concept of a healthy work environment by making changes in buildings and workplaces to enable employees to perform their tasks and duties in a way that enhances their health and safety, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the specialised team for their efforts made to achieve the project standards and obtain accreditation.
