Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa was today briefed on the plan to re-open public and private educational institutions and universities next year.

Education Minister Majed Al Nuaimi and Education Ministry Undersecretary for Resources and Services Mohammed Mubarak Juma presented the report prepared by the task team.

The presentation included the proposals submitted by the task force, the approved criteria, the suggested procedures and the implementation requirements to ensure the safety of students and educational and administrative staff that were developed by specialists in various government agencies following a study of the international best practices in this field.

HH Shaikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation of the task team efforts and stressed the government keenness on resuming education in a way that guarantees the safety of the students and staff.

He called for finalizing the proposals to present them to the Executive Committee ahead of referring them to the Cabinet.
