His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, celebrated the triumph of Bahrain Victorious rider Pello Bilbao, who clinched victory in the 10th stage of the Tour de France.

HH Shaikh Nasser dedicated this remarkable win to his late friend, former Bahrain Victorious cyclist Gino Mäder, who tragically passed away last month due to injuries sustained during a crash at the Tour de Suisse.

Shaikh Nasser highlighted that this victory underscores the team's elevated performance level, praising the unwavering dedication of the riders, as well as the technical and administrative staff, in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain on the global stage.

He stated, "This performance will significantly enhance the esteemed reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the world of sports, particularly in the realm of cycling, where the Bahrain Victorious team has now become an emblematic presence."

Following this historic win, Bahrain Victorious has ascended to the fifth position in the overall rankings at the conclusion of the 10th stage. The team is fully prepared to compete in the upcoming 11 stages with the aim of consistently achieving exceptional results.
