His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), held a meeting with Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee (CAIC).

During the meeting, they discussed strategies to further strengthen collaboration in developing various programs and activities that support children's growth in sports, culture, and health.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the CAIC's initiatives in organizing sporting and cultural programs and events for children in Asia, aiming to instill awareness of sports values. He underscored the BOC's commitment to nurturing a healthy and active generation by fostering children's talents from a young age through sports initiatives targeting schoolchildren.

Additionally, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad mentioned that Bahrain is set to host the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade in October 2024.
