A Bahraini athlete has achieved outstanding results at the 19th Asian Games, held in Hangzhou, China, from October 8 to October 17, according to His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

HH Shaikh Khalid praised the stellar performance of the Bahrain national athletics team, which has won nine gold medals, one silver medal, and five bronze medals so far.

The HH Shaikh Khalid congratulated the Bahrain national handball team on their qualification to the final after beating Japan in a telephone call in the presence of BOC Secretary-General Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji. He wished the team every success in the final.

During His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's prosperous era, His Highness wished Bahraini teams continued success in the ongoing Asian Games.
