His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with HE Vinod Kurian Jacob, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain.


According to His Royal Highness, the Kingdom of Bahrain and India have had longstanding relations and strategic partnerships, which have enhanced bilateral cooperation.


The King stressed that the Kingdom is committed to building on diplomatic achievements and joint collaboration between Bahrain and India to the benefit of both nations.


The newly appointed Ambassador to Bahrain was welcomed by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad, and he was wished success in his new position.


It was emphasized that the Indian community plays an important role in supporting the comprehensive development of the Kingdom by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


According to Jacob, His Royal Highness' commitment to advancing relations between Bahrain and India was one of the reasons he was grateful for the opportunity to meet with Him. As a conclusion, HE Jacob wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.


HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, was also present.
