The Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, expressed his pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's efforts to promote world peace, human coexistence, and dialogue, tolerance, and fraternity among nations and peoples.
According to him, HM's efforts to promote peace and tolerance in the world reflect a wise vision and a sound approach to consolidating security and stability, and to develop bridges for cooperation and partnership that contribute to the achievement of common development goals.
In addition, Al Saleh commended HM's commitment to strengthening relations with countries across the globe, highlighting the talks HM the King had with His Majesty King Charles, III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church; Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic; and Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister.
HM was interested in discussing regional and international developments, including the Israeli military escalation in Gaza and events in the Middle East.
His Majesty reiterated the approach of the kingdom on enhancing regional security and stability and its firm position on reaching a just resolution to the Palestinian issue and giving Palestinians their legitimate rights, which will lead to a two-state solution in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, so as to guarantee the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, Al Saleh said.
As a result of the efforts made by the Bahraini government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, he stressed that Bahrain will continue humanitarian initiatives, efforts to consolidate peace and coexistence, and to promote tolerance and respect under the leadership of HM.
According to the Shura Chairman, Bahrain has been known throughout history as a melting pot of cultures, religions, and civilisations embracing peace, harmony, and human fraternity.
