In 9 Months, More Than 11 Million Tourists Visit Morocco

In the first nine months of this year, Morocco received 11.1 million arrivals, up from 7.7 million at the end of September 2022, according to the Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF).
As the result of the Al Haouz earthquake in September, the flow of arrivals increased by 7%, surpassing 960,000 arrivals, according to the DEPF's October business report.
These arrivals were almost 9% higher than September 2019, according to Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP).
Additionally, overnight stays in classified accommodation establishments increased by 53% in annual variation at the end of August 2023. Overnight stays increased by 2.6% from the end of August 2019.
