Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani inspected the progress of work on the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) project in Al Sakhir. 

Present were Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nasser Qaidi and other officials from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. 

Al Zayani, also BTEA Chairman, was updated about the massive project, stressing the strategic importance of the project which stems from the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision. 

He said that the milestone will be a key pillar of Bahrain’s new strategy (2022-2026), which focus on mega national projects, including the new state-of-the-art  centre in Al Sakhir.
