Interior Minister Issues Edict, Forming Committee To List Dangerous Substances

Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, today issued an edict, forming a committee in charge of listing dangerous substances, their storage sites and inspection mechanisms.
The panel will be chaired by the Director-General of Civil Defence and comprise representatives from the relevant directorates.
The committee will ensure commitment to related precautionary measures from the arrival of the substances to the Kingdom's ports to their stores away from urban areas.
Under the edict, the committee shall also review transportation and storage conditions and all applied procedures in this regards to ensure ultimate safety standards for all.
