Bahrain will host the first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress on November 9-10 under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.


An academic, expert, professional, and technician audience will attend the two-day event at the Diplomat Hotel, which is organized by the University of Bahrain (UoB) in collaboration with EducationPlus.


Dr. Leena Mohammed Khonji, Dean of the College of Health and Sports Sciences at UoB, said that the conference will feature more than 50 research and scientific papers and will draw speakers from a wide range of countries, including the United States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Kuwait.


A number of topics will be discussed at the first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress, including the transformation of nursing and other allied health fields, the application of artificial intelligence to sport and health, the compatibility of sports medicine and emergency response systems, how sports medicine can develop health and sports, and how it can prepare health sector leaders.


This congress will also highlight the experiences of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in developing health practices and innovation.


Additionally, two plenary sessions will feature specialists in health care and sports, discussing topics such as simulation and artificial intelligence in the health and sports fields, as well as concepts of public health for health service providers and sports trainers.
