
Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s keynote address to the nation marking the end of this year’s Ashoora commemoration season.
The royal speech was all-inclusive, covered all the values of love and co-existence, and reflected the respect for religious rituals and freedoms, of which the kingdom has been known for centuries, he said.
He added that those distinctive values, which were guaranteed by the National Action Charter and the Constitution, have been consolidated by HM King Hamad’s Reform Project, making Bahrain a role model in this regard.
The Shura Chairman affirmed that HM the King’s directives have contributed to the success of this year’s Ashoora season, held amid exceptional circumstances created by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), praising the support of HM King Hamad and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, for the commemoration of such a religious occasion.
He also commended the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, as well as his distinguished leadership of Team Bahrain to provide what is necessary to limit the spread of the pandemic and mitigate its effects.
He pointed out that the tremendous efforts exerted by the relevant state departments, scholars, shaikhs and Bahraini volunteers reflected their great keenness to commemorate such a religious occasion during the current circumstances, while ensuring the safety and health of everyone, proving the kingdom’s distinction in managing the current health crisis.
