Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, paid a visit to the Mondelez International factory located in the Bahrain International Investment Zone. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Salah Al Morsi, the General Manager of the factory, and Sayed Hassan Jawad, the Director of Manufacturing.
The minister commended the significant role played by international institutions and companies based in Bahrain in enhancing the Kingdom's economic standing and competitiveness. This is achieved through the expansion of the investment base, the creation of high-quality opportunities, and the advancement of various sectors, particularly the industrial sector.
Fakhro emphasized the Kingdom's pride in hosting such large-scale projects that establish their presence in Bahrain, contributing to production and exports to countries worldwide. This aligns with the objectives outlined in the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026).
During his visit, the minister toured the facility, gaining insights into the work processes, the company's future plans, key services provided by Mondelez International, and the various stages of manufacturing and production.
Mondelez International stands as one of the pioneering modern companies and factories established in the Bahrain International Investment Zone, featuring renowned brands such as Oreo, Barney, Tang, and others.
