“105 fils fees will be imposed for all cash transfers that exceed BD100 made via Fawry+ in BenefitPay App starting tomorrow” local retail banks notified their customers today through SMS and went viral.
Local retail banks added that the fees would be included in all cash transfers via Fawry in the same App .
The SMS read as “We would like to draw your attention that starting tomorrow, July 29, 2020, an amount of 105 fils will be calculated on all cash transfers that exceed BD100 made via Fawry+,”
Banks stated that this came in line with the Electronic Fund Transfer System (EFTS) service and applied to EFTS operations across all financial institutions.
