Over 171 Indian expatriates flew home on a chartered Gulf Air flight from Bahrain on Friday. The Palakkad Arts & Cultural Theater (PAACT) Bahrain in association with Dadabhai travels launched this initiative providing five free flight fares to very needy passengers travelling in PAACT’s chartered flight.

The association also offered special rates to more than 15 passengers who were financially weak and extended their gratitude to its members.

PAACT has been continuously engaged in charity activities for the last three months, ever since the Covid-19 outbreak was reported. The association has been supporting expatriates with food kits and essential items, particularly those who hail from Palakkad district of Kerala.

The Association reconfirmed its mission on actively shouldering more such charity works in the upcoming days as well. They requested the support of all good wishers and organizations in fulfilling their ventures.

PAACT officials spoke from the airport premises extending their gratitude, to the Indian club President Stalin Joseph and General Secretary Job M J for giving their club premises for accomplishing the travel documentation works for the passengers. PAACT officials also thanked Sany Paul, Vinoth Thambi, Aji Bhasi and Anish Varghese for their support and guidance.

They gave credit also to the unconditional support received from BKSF (Bahrain Kerala Social Forum), from the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan, Cheriyan Philip and Indian embassy Bahrain.
