The reasons for the high number of new coronavirus cases during the last days were the lack of adherence to the instructions and negligence in the proper application of preventive measures, according to a press conference held today by the Ministry of Health.

While widespread testing is also going on, there has been increased reckless behaviour by the public in recent days, which is responsible for the increase in the number of cases.

There has also been an increase in the number of Bahrainis registered as new cases.

The reasons for the increase in the number of existing cases of citizens are family and social gatherings during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and going out for non-necessities, according to the ministry.
