Mumtalakat announced the appointment of Khalid Al Rumaihi as Chairman of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a portfolio company of Mumtalakat.

The Amriya Group is currently headed by Al Rumaihi as its Executive Chairman. From September 2019 to April 2023, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Mumtalakat.

During his five-year tenure at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Al Rumaihi was also the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining EDB, Al Rumaihi headed the Institutional Placement Team for Investcorp's clients in the Arabian Gulf and was a member of the Management Committee. Prior to this, he served for nine years at J.P. Morgan as head of its Gulf region private client group.

He is a Harvard University Master of Public Policy graduate, specializing in Economic Development, and a Georgetown University Bachelor of Science graduate, specializing in Foreign Service.
