
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) hailed the welcoming of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the invitation of Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to dedicate today, a day of fasting, prayers and supplications for the good of all humanity to end the coronavirus pandemic.
This came in a statement issued by NIHR, where it saw that this welcome came as confirmed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, when he visited the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus Operations Room in February, saying "The world today faces escalating challenges to combat Covid-19, which does not differentiate between race, religion, or any intellectual or social affiliation or sect, which requires concerted efforts to combat it and address it with preserves the health and safety of everyone.”
The statement added that Bahrain's participation in this day stems from its full belief, of the importance of consolidating religious freedoms and not compromising them, and the importance of solidarity by all people of different religions and sects in order to spread values of love, justice, tolerance and peaceful co-existence.
