The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) announced the extension of the validity of all valid and expired visit visas for three months. In addition to this, fees associated with all types of resident permits will be waived until the end of the year. 

The move is part of the implementation of the decision of the coordination meeting led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to promote national efforts against the spreading of coronavirus. It is also part of the follow up of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. 

Visit Visas
The move aims to reduce the implications of the coronavirus pandemic in the world to enable the residents and visitors to correct their situations. The NPRA highlighted that the validity of all visit visas would automatically be renewed for three months, starting from the date of the issuance of the decision.  

Residence Permit
Length of stay periods for cancelled and expired resident permits will be extended automatically till the end of the year without the need to submit an application and free of charge.
