Oil Prices Rise Further Due To Concerns Over Middle East Supply

Thursday saw an increase in oil prices, building on the substantial gains from the preceding session. Brent crude climbed 38 cents, or 0.5%, reaching $78.63 per barrel by 0440 GMT. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures experienced a 52-cent rise, or 0.7%, reaching $73.22, as reported by Reuters.
Both benchmarks registered approximately a 3% increase, settling higher on Wednesday for the first time in five days.
