On the weekend in Illinois, Jordan Lazic, driver of Bahrain1 Racing, claimed a sensational win in the Pro Mod category at the NHRA Midwest Nationals.

At his debut NHRA Pro Mod event, Lazic claimed his first Wally trophy.

After defeating Jason Scruggs in the final round, Lazic secured his victory driving Bahrain 1's '69 ProCharger Camaro.

In the absence of Scruggs, Lazic did not need to set a time, resulting in the Bahrain1 driver taking first place automatically.

Prior to this stage, Lazic defeated Mike Castellana and Scruggs eliminated Bahrain1's Khaled Al Balooshi.

Lazic won the opening two elimination rounds against Mike Thielen and Stan Shelton, respectively.

Competition in the Pro Mod class of the NHRA season is down to one round.

From 26 to 29 October, it will be held at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the NHRA Nevada Nationals.

The season's title is currently in the hands of Bahrain1 drivers Kristopher Thorne and Justin Bond.
